The food security project in Sri Lanka supported 4,500 individuals addressing food insecurity among families who lost their livelihoods as a result of the country’s economic crisis. The long-term resilience of small-scale farmers in Sri Lanka can be achieved through promoting organic and sustainable agricultural practices and replacing the techniques that harm the environment and yield little harvest. This project helps enable families to grow nutritious food year-round.

“Due to my poor health, I can’t do hard labor, but this project lets me work from home and support my family. We use the vegetables we grow for  meals, and I’m happy knowing they’re chemical-free. Now, my garden is full and is not only seeds.” — Nilmini
