Project Information

  • 45 households (213 individuals) returning from the Kanyaruchinya IDP camp in a conflict-affected region occupied by the M23 rebels were supported.
  • Households were provided with rice, maize, flour, cooking oil and tents.
  • To encourage sustainable farming, selected beneficiaries received seeds and farming tools.

  • Ranked No. 5 on the Baptist Vulnerability Index.
  • 12 BWA member partners, 7,472 churches, and 3,555,980 believers.
  • The on-going conflict is gravely impacting food security as people abandoned their farmlands in search of physical security.
