Project Information

This project supported households returning from the Kanyaruchinya IDP camp in a conflict-affected region impacted by the presence of M23 rebels. It responded to urgent humanitarian needs by providing both immediate relief and support for early recovery.

Key Activities & Reach

  • Assisted 45 households (213 individuals) 
  • Distributed essential supplies including rice, maize, flour, cooking oil, and tents 
  • Provided seeds and farming tools to selected beneficiaries to promote sustainable agriculture 

Context & Ongoing Needs

The ongoing conflict has severely affected food security, forcing many families to abandon their farmlands in search of safety. Returning households face significant challenges in rebuilding their livelihoods.
