The Baptist World Alliance (BWA) is excited to announce the launch of the first dedicated website for Baptist World Aid (BWAid), the BWA’s aid and relief ministry. The site (BWAid.org) creates a centralized hub for crisis updates, disaster response information, and opportunities to support vulnerable communities around the world.
The new digital platform highlights the ongoing work of BWAid in responding to disasters, humanitarian crises, displacement, hunger, poverty, and community development needs worldwide. Visitors to the site can explore current response initiatives, read stories of impact from around the world, access resources, and give directly to support emergency aid and long-term recovery efforts.
“The BWAid website is a ministry tool that amplifies the voices and impact of our partners across the globe. We will share stories of life-saving and life-affirming work while equipping partners with resources that strengthen their capacity for sustainable ministry and service,” said Marsha Scipio, Baptist World Aid Director. “Together with local partners, BWAid is partnering with God to transform communities.”
Working through a network spanning more than 135 countries and territories, BWAid supports emergency relief, refugee assistance, community development, trauma care, and strategic partnerships that bring practical help and Gospel hope to people facing crisis. Building on a storied history of more than 100 years of global Baptist cooperation and compassionate ministry, BWAid continues to mobilize Baptists worldwide to respond to human need in the name of Christ.
The dedicated website is a response to growing global humanitarian needs and reflects the BWA’s continued commitment to holistic mission and collaborative response. The platform also provides churches, ministry leaders, and individual supporters with new ways to engage through prayer, resources, giving, and advocacy.
“We want this site to be more than a place to see how God is at work through the global Baptist family,” said Merritt Johnston, BWA Director of Communications and Media. “We want this to open doors for Baptist sisters and brothers in every part of the world to stand with those who are suffering in practical ways, demonstrating to a watching world that the compassion of Christ unites us and compels us to transformative action.”
Join us in celebrating this new resource for the global Baptist family!
