Strengthening Partnerships in Brazil: Field Visit Highlights Transformative Ministry Impact

From November 4–13, 2025, a field visit to Brazil provided a comprehensive look at the life-changing social initiatives led by the Brazilian Baptist Convention. The visit focused on understanding how key programs are transforming communities and addressing urgent social needs across the country.

Site visits were conducted in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Brasília, where leaders engaged directly with three flagship ministries: Cristolândia, VIVER, and Vila Minha Pátria. Participation in the Multiplique 2025 Global Conference also offered valuable insight into the broader vision and collaborative impact of church-led initiatives throughout Brazil.

Throughout the visit, time was dedicated to observing project implementation, meeting with program teams, listening to beneficiaries, and assessing both the effectiveness and sustainability of the initiatives. These conversations provided meaningful perspectives on community impact, operational strengths, and ongoing challenges.

Investing in the Next Generation

The VIVER Program supports children and adolescents through educational, recreational, and spiritual development within local churches. By creating safe and nurturing environments, VIVER equips young people to thrive. One key focus moving forward is adapting program activities to meet the diverse and evolving needs of the communities it serves.

Restoring Lives Through Holistic Care

Cristolândia serves individuals experiencing homelessness and substance addiction, offering a pathway to restoration through holistic rehabilitation, social reintegration, and Christian discipleship. The program continues to transform lives, though leaders emphasized the need for expanded long-term support and increased professional opportunities to ensure lasting stability for participants.

Providing Hope for Refugee Families

Vila Minha Pátria offers refugee families shelter, essential services, education, and integration support, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. Sustained emotional support and long-term integration resources remain essential to ensuring families achieve stability and self-sufficiency.
